The goal with your locus of control is to always have a realistic perception about the amount of control you have over the events in
your life in any given situation. The "Good News" is that it's relativity simple to do - just be aware!
Unfortunately, it is simple -
like going on a diet is simple. "just eat less" - but bad eating habits are hard to break. Similarly, our tendency to to be external
in our locus of control is a habit. By paying attention to time when you feel like you are a victim of circumstance, or find yourself
thinking "this always happens to me", step back and ask - "Am I thinking about this realistically". If you are honest with yourself,
you may discover that being a victim of a situation makes you feel better- because it relieves you of responsibility,
but - keep in mind, it also takes away all your power to direct your own life!
